After Jeff's last final on Tuesday April 24, we drove to Goblin Valley State Park. Since Highway 6 is dangerous, overcrowded, and boring, we took I15 south to Nephi, then Highway 28 through Levan (the navel of Utah), Gunnison (Blades of Glory is playing at the movie theater) and Salina. From there we took the scenic I70 East to Highway 24 (12 miles before Green River) which took us south to the park. If you didn't follow that, get a map.
James loved all the dirt. It was strange to camp in a place with no trees. We could see all the campsites around us, and sound carried really well (as Emily discovered while changing James's diaper in the tent). We loved the goblins and the short hikes. James's favorite place to sleep was in his backpack (not his bed).
If you've never been, you should go.
